Bridget's Cradles was founded by Matt and Ashley Opliger after the birth of their daughter, Bridget Faith, who was stillborn at 24 weeks in 2014.

Bridget's Grammy, Teresa, knit a little mint green cradle for her, which allowed Matt and Ashley to lovingly hold her and make cherished memories.

We exist to share the hope of Christ with grieving families.

Our Statement of

Faith

(1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21; Romans 15:4; John 17:17; Hebrews 6:18; Revelation 21:5)

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the only record of His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bible is trustworthy and true, without error, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life for the world.

(Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7; Ephesians 4:4-6: John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

(John 1:1-4, 3:13, 20:30; Matthew 1:18-25, 26;64; Hebrews 4:15, 9:15-28; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; 2 Corinthians 5:21, 56-57; Philippians 2:5-11; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 8:34; Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 19:11; 1 John 2:2; Luke 24:26)

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father in Heaven, and in His future return to earth to reign as King in power and glory.

(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23, 5:8-12; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:16-19, 5:24; Ephesians 2:8-10, 4:30)

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but incurred a sinful nature because of the Fall of Adam. We must be born again by the Spirit of God to be saved. Salvation is received by grace alone, by faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. His work on the cross offers forgiveness and grace from sin’s penalty. Whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.

(John 3:5-8, 14:15-26, 16:5-16; Ephesians 1:13-14, 2:8-10; James 2:14-26; Acts 1:8, 4:31; Romans 8:9-14; 1 Corinthians 2:14, 3:16; 2 Corinthians 9:8; Galatians 5:16-18; Colossians 2:6-10; Philippians 2:13)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within and guides Christians so they are enabled to live godly lives and perform good works.

(John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; Revelation 20:10-15; Daniel 12;2; Matthew 25:46; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 9:6-7)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; and in Christ who has promised to return personally to earth to complete the establishment of His kingdom. We believe humans will either exist eternally separated from God in hell by sin or eternally with God in Heaven through forgiveness and salvation. We believe Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

(Psalm 139:13-14; Isaiah 43:1, 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; James 1:18; Exodus 20:13)

We believe that humans are God’s most prized possession and that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end. We believe that every person, born and unborn, should be treated with love, dignity, and respect.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:13-14; 1 Corinthians 11:7)

We believe that God fearfully and wonderfully and immutably creates each human being as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.

(Genesis 2:18-25; 1 Corinthians 6:9-18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 15:18-20; Romans 1:18-32)

We believe that marriage is designed to be a lifelong uniting of one man and one woman in a single, biblical covenant union as delineated in Scripture. God intends sexual activity to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to one another. Any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual and bisexual behavior) is understood to be a disruptive consequence of the fall.

Psalm 139:13a-14b

You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
