About Us
Bridget's Cradles is a 501c3 nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Kansas.
We provide hospitals with knitted and crocheted cradles to hold babies who were born into Heaven during the second trimester of pregnancy. We also lead a local support ministry and provide hope-filled resources online.
Our organization was founded after the birth of Matt and Ashley Opliger's daughter, Bridget Faith. She was stillborn at 24 weeks and 5 days on October 22, 2014 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Due to complications in Ashley's pregnancy and a poor prognosis given to them by doctors, Bridget's grandma, Teresa, knit a special cradle for her the week before she was born. On the day Bridget was born, Matt and Ashley and their families held her in the cradle, loving on her and making cherished memories with her.
You can read more about our story, our cradles, and our team on these respective links.
We are always in need of volunteers and support. We donate our cradles to hospitals in all 50 states for free. If you're looking to request a donation for your hospital, click here.
You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
-Psalm 139:13a-14b

What We Do
Nationwide
DONATE CRADLES TO HOSPITALS
Bridget's Cradles provides hand-made knit and crocheted cradles to hospitals in all 50 states to offer to families whose babies were born into Heaven in the second trimester of pregnancy. Memory keepsakes are provided to families who have lost a baby in the first or third trimester.
Our cradles are made by our nationwide team of knitting and crocheting volunteers and finished by our sewing volunteers at our headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. Bridget's Cradles inspects cradles for quality and tags them before they are shipped directly to hospitals. Our cradles are always provided to hospitals and families for free.
PROVIDE SUPPORT
