Bridget’s Cradles concluded our Shine Their Light fundraiser held during October Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month.
We had set a goal to raise $75,000 in our peer-to-peer fundraiser, and though we didn’t meet the goal, we still raised significant funds to comfort grieving families.
Together, we raised $45,135!
We couldn’t have done this without each person who so generously donated to the fundraiser. Each gift will impact the lives of bereaved families by shining a light in the darkness of their grief.
Each year at Wave of Light, we award the team that raised the most funds (*excluding board members’ teams) with the Shine Their Light award.
This year, we are honored to announce the winner of the 2026 Shine Their Light award:
Kendall and Kylee Eden
In memory of their daughter, Junie Bea Eden, they raised $2,335.
Kylee shared, “We are the parents of Junie Bea Eden. She was born to Heaven on September 4th of last year. She was 32 weeks. Because she was 18 inches when she was born, we were gifted a memory keepsake at the hospital. At the time, we didn’t know what the memory keepsake meant or anything about Bridget’s Cradles.
But I had a lovely friend whose baby is being honored here today as well, gift me Ashley’s book, Cradled in Hope. And as we went through each chapter of the book together, I learned more and more about Bridget’s Cradles and the ministry that it has for families that have gone through similar things that we have gone through.
Being able to raise the money for this ministry meant a lot, not only to Kendall and I, but also to our families and the community that surrounded us as we lost Junie last year. Not only was this a way for us to continue to honor Junie, but we also understand the impact that it has on families who received a cradle or a memory keepsake in honor of their babies in Heaven, and we’ll be forever grateful for Bridget’s Cradles and the community that we were gifted with as what we’ve gone through.”
Thank you so much, Kendall and Kylee, for shining a light in memory of your precious Junie.

I have a fancy professional bio here, but what is most important for you to know is that my first and only daughter, Bridget, went to Heaven and Jesus was the only One who could put the shattered pieces of my heart back together. Maybe your heart is broken too?
If so, I'm here to be your friend and walk with you on your grief journey. More importantly, I'm here to point you to Jesus, the only One who can heal your heart and promise you eternity with your baby in Heaven. Hold my hand, friend, and let's start this journey together.
Hosted by Ashley Opliger, this podcast offers Christ-centered comfort to moms grieving the loss of a baby in Heaven. Each episode is rooted in Scripture and points your heart to the truth of the Gospel, the presence of Jesus, and the eternal hope of being reunited with your baby in Heaven.
