Aubrianna was our first baby girl after four boys. We have two living boys (Jayden and Kasen) and two baby boys in Heaven (Josiah and Bennett). Aubrianna was our miracle baby after the loss of her two brothers.
After Bennett passed away, we found out that I have Factor V Leiden (blood clotting disorder) and MTHFR mutation which was causing us to lose our babies. We were so hopeful with little Aubrianna because we had the proper medications and diet this time and everyone was sure it would all work to keep her safe.
I remember feeling her kick on June 12th and listening to her heartbeat. I had no idea that would be the last time I heard it. On June 13th, I hadn't felt her kick so I pulled out the doppler to listen. I attempted for about 10 minutes before I called it quits and just went to the hospital because of our history of late losses.
At the hospital, our worst fear was confirmed. Our baby girl's heart had stopped beating. She was measuring right on track and had just passed away. I was immediately admitted to the hospital and they started the induction of labor at 7 am on June 14th. We had to wait until it had been 24 hours since my last Lovenox injection.
After about 5.5 hours of labor, our precious baby girl was born sleeping. She was 6.1 inches long and had the most perfect little nose, hands, and feet.
Bridget's Cradles has now supported our family through the losses of each of our three babies. When Aubrianna was cleaned up and brought back to me in a little white cradle with pink trim, I knew it was from Bridget's Cradles and my heart felt a sense of relief.
I knew she had been prayed for, I knew we had been prayed for, and that we were not alone. When you have to say goodbye to your baby, it is the little things like a little cradle and blanket that actually fit your baby that make those memories even more precious.
I am so beyond thankful to have had these cradles for my babies and for Ashley and all the volunteers that pour so much love into each of these cradles.
