At Bridget’s Cradles, every person who serves carries a story. Today, we are honored to introduce our new Program Assistant, Kylee Eden, who joins our team with a heart for grieving families and a deep desire to point others to Christ through their darkest moments.
Kylee serves in honor of her daughter, Junie Bea, who was born into Heaven on September 4, 2025.
Kylee and her husband, Kendall, have been married since 2020. Kendall serves as a youth pastor at a local church, and together they enjoy serving in youth ministry. When they’re not serving or working, you’ll often find them outdoors hiking with their two dogs. Kylee also enjoys reading, scrapbooking, spending time in God’s Word, and filling her prayer journal with reflections on what the Lord is teaching her.
Through the loss of Junie, Kylee found herself drawn into a deeper relationship with Christ.
“Through the experience of losing Junie, I’ve enjoyed diving deeper into the Word to grow a stronger and deeper relationship with Christ,” Kylee shares. “I enjoy writing in my prayer journal and meditating on God’s words, using that time to reflect on who Christ is.”
Kylee’s journey with Bridget’s Cradles began as a bereaved mother seeking support after the loss of Junie Bea. She first connected with the ministry through our support groups before becoming a faithful volunteer on Wednesdays.
When our previous Program Assistant stepped away to pursue college and a second job, Executive Director Ashley Opliger immediately thought of Kylee for the role.
“Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know both Kylee and Kendall, and I’ve come to love their heart for Jesus and serving others,” Ashley shares. “Kylee has a deep compassion for grieving families because she has walked this road herself. As she became more involved in our ministry, it became clear that she would be a wonderful addition to our team.”
What began as a search for support has become an opportunity for Kylee to bring hope and comfort to other families walking through pregnancy and infant loss.
When asked why she wanted to join the Bridget’s Cradles team, Kylee shared a powerful testimony of grief, faith, and purpose.
“My husband and I lost Junie Bea on September 4, 2025, as a stillbirth. She was 31 weeks, and I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy with no complications up until September 3rd when she just stopped moving.”
Like many bereaved parents, Kylee found herself wrestling with difficult questions.
“All the doctors and nurses would tell my husband and me, ‘These things just happen.’ It will forever be the hardest thing that I would ever have to go through. Something that really tested my faith. Did God really care? Did I do something wrong? Am I not worthy of a baby like everyone else?”
Yet through her grief, God began to reveal a new purpose.
“As I battled with my relationship with God a little more, I learned the biggest thing that helped bring glory not only to God’s name but also gave purpose to losing Junie and honoring her life was serving and helping families like myself.”
Kylee understands firsthand what it means to enter what many bereaved parents call “the club no one wants to be a part of.”
“We kept being told we are a part of a club no one wants to be a part of, but once you are, you have a relationship with many families that looks different than most. It’s a whole new level of understanding what this type of pain and grief looks like that you don’t fully understand unless you’ve gone through it yourself.”
Before joining Bridget’s Cradles, Kylee worked as a Universal Banker at Emprise Bank. Her experience building relationships, serving customers, and making outreach calls will be a tremendous asset as she helps expand the ministry’s hospital partnerships.
“With my previous experience, I am most excited to reach out to hospitals about our cradles. This is something that I truly believe in. I’ve seen the impact it has on families, and I believe hospitals will gain so much by having cradles and memory keepsakes on hand for families who are going through a loss.”
As Bridget’s Cradles celebrates more than a decade of ministry, Kylee is excited to be part of what God is doing next.
“I am most excited to learn more about the organization and seeing God’s glory. I know that with it being 10 years since Bridget’s Cradles started, God has done amazing things, and I have no doubt that He will continue to exceed any expectation.”
She adds, “Being a part of the team to see it firsthand is exciting.”
Kylee’s story is one of heartbreak transformed into hope, and we are incredibly grateful that God has brought her to Bridget’s Cradles. Her compassion, personal experience, faith, and servant-hearted spirit will help us continue our mission of serving grieving families across the country.
Please join us in welcoming Kylee to the Bridget’s Cradles family. We are thankful for her willingness to honor Junie Bea’s life through service and to bring comfort, hope, and the love of Christ to families walking through unimaginable loss.
