Bridget’s Cradles concluded our Shine Their Light fundraiser held during October Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness month.
We had set a goal to raise $75,000 in our peer-to-peer fundraiser, and though we didn’t meet the goal, we still raised significant funds to comfort grieving families.
Together, we raised $54,546!
We couldn’t have done this without each person who so generously donated to the fundraiser. Each gift will impact the lives of bereaved families by shining a light in the darkness of their grief.
Each year at Wave of Light, we award the team that raised the most funds (*excluding board members' teams) with the Shine Their Light award.
This year, we are honored to announce the winner of the 2024 Shine Their Light award:
Steve and Hilary Price-Coulter
In memory of their daughter, Eva Grace Price-Coulter, and Her Siblings and Grammie in Heaven, they raised $3,052.
Hilary Price-Coulter shared, "Steve and I are so thankful for Bridget’s Cradles Ministry and this Wave of Light Event. We are parents to Four Precious babies, ALL born into Heaven at different times and none on earth. At our first Wave of Light, we got to hear our daughter, Eva-Grace and her siblings names read aloud for the very first time. To hear our children’s names spoken in that way, honored them and their places in our family. To know that every child born into Heaven, no matter how young, or early in our pregnancies, is formed by God, dearly loved, and remembered was the truth our grieving hearts needed to hear. The healing that moment brought was powerful, and something changed in me and us that night. Hope returned. That Hope and support gave us the strength to speak of our children openly with others and continue the journey through our grief and the often lonely heartache of living without them here. From then on, we knew we wanted to support this event & ministry so they could continue to bring Hope & Healing to other heartbroken and grieving families.
Since that first Wave of light, we had the heartbreak of losing our fourth baby in February of 2021. Then, last year, we suddenly lost my beautiful Mom & best friend, Becky Price. Our hearts are so broken, but because we grieve with Hope, we KNOW my Mom is in Heaven, getting to hold all four of our babies and be a Gammie to each of them. They are loving each other in the presence of Jesus until we are all reunited. It’s that HOPE that keeps us going each day as we wait.”
Thank you so much, Steve and Hilary, for shining a light in memory of your sweet Eva Grace Price-Coulter, Her Siblings, and Gammie in Heaven.
